The 2024 Flooding in Mississippi was a rare, and very destructive, flooding event along the US Gulf Coast, particularly in Mississippi. The first storm began affecting the area on June 21st, and the last system, Hurricane Don, dissipated on JUly 29th, having dropped 305 mm of rain whilst passing over the area. In total, 879 mm of rain fell, leading to severe flooding in most of the coastal areas of the state, mainly within the Mississippi Delta, leading to 22 deaths, leaving 5 missing, and doing $655 million in damages in the process.
