To many people in New England the outbreak is known as the Great Halloween Outbreak. The strongest tornado of the outbreak was a 4 mile wide EF7 tornado that flattened Albany, New York at 7:15P.M. on October 31 with winds up to 450MPH. The outside warning system in Albany hadn't given off any warning yet and there was no rain, hail, or tailwind/frontwind that would've given it off that a tornado was approaching. Many people did see the tornado but is so large that they didn't recognize it as a tornado. In all the tornado killed 1,000 people, Half of which were trick-or-treaters and caused $4.3billion dollars in damages on it's path from Rutland, Vermont to Scranton Pennslvania. Other tornadoes such as 2 twin EF5 tornadoes struck Washington D.C. and College Park Maryland. Those tornadoes killed 1,900 people, 800 of which were trick-or-treaters and caused $6.9billion dollars in damages on Oct 31 at 6:59P.M. An EF6 tornado ripped through NYC at 6:47A.M. with winds up to 400 MPH. It killed 2,014, most were asleep at the time, and caused $7.1billion dollars in damage.
